Pearl of Wisdom: Hannah and Tiana of Wildcliff Events

It’s Tuesday and y’all should know what that means by now! Don’t know? It’s Pearl of Wisdom Tuesday! Today, we are going to be talking all things Wildcliff Weddings + Events.

Confused about our Pearls of Wisdom series, let us explain how it works! Twice a week, we showcase, on our social media and blog, some of our favorite vendor friends. We talk about who they are, what they do, and how you can get in contact with them. They also graciously shared their own personal advice for brides regarding the wedding industry and how to better plan your big day!

We have done plenty of blog posts about the importance of picking the perfect venues and some of our favorites in Mid-Missouri… to add onto that list, we want to introduce our friends over at Wildcliff Weddings and Events.

Wildcliff has a crazy history, starting back in the late 1890’s, where dynamite blasts exposed a rock quarry and underground spring that halted all operations. In 1960, this property was bought and was a campground and resort until 1986, when the Danner family bought the property. Now owned by Hannah (Danner) Painter and her husband, Austin, the Painter’s created Wildcliff Weddings and Events in 2017. The property has over 300 acres, home to lake and cliff views for a beautiful scenic wedding ceremony and reception!

Hannah added Tiana Strawn onto her team and the two gals rock at being coordinators for weddings and events on the Wildcliff properties. They both got married on the property, Hannah in 2014 and Tiana in 2019, so they both know the magic that happens on these grounds!

When we reached out to the two wonderful Wildcliff women for their Pearl of Wisdom, they said,

“Throw tradition out the window. Your wedding is about YOU! Don’t be pressured to do things “the right way.” Do what’s right for you. Show off your style, your favorite food/drink, interactive guest activities – anything that truly represents you all as a couple. You will have so much fun and your guests will never forget your wedding!” -Hannah and Tiana, Wildcliff Events

Preach Hannah and Tiana!

Brides can get so caught up in their families inputs, the little details, or the tiny stressors, but at the end of the day, your personality really creates that unique touch that is so memorable! It’s memorable to your guests for sure, but it also is memorable for you as a couple! Sure, your flowers or cake flavors do matter, but those aren’t the main aspects that are going to be treasured forever.

For me, food was a huge priority at my wedding and we not only had multiple food stations, but we also had a late night snack of pizza, donuts, and multiple treats! I didn’t actually eat until about 11pm but hey, you know, my guests enjoyed it! That was Scott and I’s personalities shining through and it’s something that I always reminisce about when thinking back to my wedding.

If you’re interested in booking Wildcliff Events for your wedding or upcoming events, don’t hesitate to scroll through their Instagram! It’s full of tons of beautiful images, showcasing their outdoor space, the bridal cottage, man cave, and their indoor space, The Hollow! You can also check out their website for a more detailed look at their packages or to just get to know Hannah and Austin a bit better too!
