Pearl of Wisdom: Laura Rowe Photo and Design

It’s Tuesday (once again), and that means we get to showcase another one of our favorite vendor friends. This week, we are going to be talking all things Laura Rowe Photo and Design!

Laura Rowe, photographer

If you haven’t been following our Pearls of Wisdom series, let us catch you up! Twice a week, we showcase, on our social media and blog, some of our favorite vendor friends. We talk about who they are, what they do, and how you can get in contact with them. They also graciously shared their own personal advice for brides regarding the wedding industry and how to better plan your big day!

Who doesn’t want an awesome photographer running around catching all the big victories and the small cherished moments? Wedding photographers ROCK at this! Not only do they have to get the huge aspects of your day like when you are pronounced married or your first dance out on the dance floor, they also catch the small things no one even realized were happening. Maybe it’s the flower girl and ring bearer running around the venue or the bridal party having a great time at the bar during cocktail hour! They’ve got your back when it comes to looking back at your wedding day!

One of our favorite photographers in Mid-Missouri is Laura Rowe Photo and Design. Laura Rowe is a photographer that specializes in so many different niches. She does wedding photography, senior sessions, and even family portraits. Need some branding pictures for your small business?! She can do that too!

Laura started playing around with photography back in 2009 and has been loving and crafting her passion for it ever since! She isn’t just messing around with a camera and a lens anymore, she is a ROCKSTAR when it comes to photos and documenting with some of the most timeless photographs.

When we asked Laura for her Pearl of Wisdom, she said,

“On your wedding day, make plans to EAT… and I’m not talking about cake. One of the biggest mistakes I see every year are brides that either forget or choose not to eat. Your wedding day is going to be long, and probably a little tiring after all of the dancing comes to an end and you want to make sure you are able to enjoy every bit of it. Whether it’s having some trays of sandwiches out or making sure to pack some snacks to tote around, make sure you’re setting yourself up for the most energized and healthy day possible!” – Laura Rowe, Photographer

This is something I WISH I would’ve done on my wedding day! Scott and I had some of the best food ever at our wedding (or so I heard), and I only ate a slice of pizza at maybe 11pm. I missed out on a great time just because I was running circles around the venue, trying to have make the most of it, yet I didn’t make time to eat and I regretted it. I always tell clients to make sure to EAT! Whether that’s at the bridal suite for lunch, a nibble or two during dinner, or a piece of cake at the end of the night, just eat something. You can make time for it!
